Natalie Dubois is a writer, researcher and designer from Toronto, Ontario and now based in New York. She recently completed a Master of Arts in Design Research, Writing and Criticism at the School of Visual Arts. Her thesis work examined sustainable architecture, architectural criticism and the concept of habitability. She also holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science (Architecture) from McGill University.
She is endlessly curious about why we choose to design the places we live in the way that we do (from individual dwellings to entire cities), and how these choices affect us and the environment around us - our collective home, our planet. This curiosity has led her to seek out diverse experiences in design. Most recently, she has worked for the award-winning architecture firm MJMA. She was also part of the design team for 'The MaMmaL', honoured with a Toronto Urban Design Award in 2011, and contributed to Avi Friedman's book 'Narrow Homes: New Directions in Efficient Design' (November 2011).
Natalie enjoys riding around on her bike, collecting vintage dish ware, and trying to read all of the internet.
